RHYSON

She doesn't wear my ring.
We never stood before a preacher.
The only vows exchanged were between our bodies; between our souls.
But she was mine and I was hers until I ruined it. I have to believe that every day, every step, every breath brings me closer to making things right.
To making her mine again.

KAI

I've seen promises broken.
I know love makes no guarantees.
But things were different for Rhys and me, until he lied, and I walked away. Only there's a chain between our hearts that I can't break. Even if I forgive him, a shadow from my past hangs over us; over this love that reaches all the way down to my soul.

“I don’t need a ceremony or a ring or a license.” He turns back around, eyes lit with emotion. “You know there’s already a vow between us that goes beyond all of that, and for you to be with anyone else would be adultery of the soul.”

The love between Rhyson and Kai is so stunningly beautiful, it brought me to tears. I love this couple so much. They love hard, they forgive, they are a perfectly imperfect pair.

Rhys and Kai have had a bumpy road. At the start of this book, their relationship is on the rocks. It’s apparent that they are both very much in love with each other, but there are other circumstances, secrets, and outside forces trying to keep them apart. What I loved most about Rhys was how deep his love was for Kai. There is no way anyone or anything would keep him from his girl. I can’t even count how many times that man made me swoon and sigh. He was so fantastic!

The audio book of Down to My Soul was fabulous. The narrators really capture Kai and Rhys. I only wish the third book in their series was available on audio! I’ll be reading it soon, though! The first two books in this series were fantastic and I can’t wait to read more from this author!

"I was raised with the capacity to believe in something that I can’t see and always have questions about, but have no doubt is absolutely real.”
She tips up on her toes and hovers over my lips.
“Like us.”

I’m so invested in this characters. They’re so brave, they love so hard, they make stupid decisions, they’re fun, and they’re so real. I loved watching them grow in this book and start to work on their problems. I loved watching them open up more and fight for each other. I loved to see them face their pasts and deal with their mistakes. This book contained way more drama than the previous one tho. I was so annoyed with what Rhyson did in the previous book and I was looking forward to see how it is gonna be handled, and I can say that I like how things went. I really enjoyed the part where they were both disguised. It was so fun and adorable. And I know that this is Kai and Rhyson’s book but I can’t help but grin like a fool every time Grip makes an appearance. I think the best thing about this books is the writing. Its sensual and poetic and It’s what made this books more beautiful. Kennedy’s Ryan is flawless and it made this book more special in my opinion.

DOWN TO MY SOUL is the STUNNING second novel of the Soul Series, one of my VERY TOP reads of 2015! Soul #2 is everything I needed it to be and more, pure perfection! I laughed, I cried, I had a couple of OMG moments, a moment where I had butterflies in my tummy... and I felt the exquisite emotion of the beautiful writing delivered by Kennedy Ryan. It’s a story about forgiveness, understanding, secrets, embracing ones destiny, and most importantly, it's about LOVE. The kind of love that reaches deep down into your soul.

The way Kennedy Ryan has crafted this story is incredible. Four months have passed since I read the first in this three part series but, despite this, the author seamlessly pulled me back into the feel, tone and context of the story arc reconnecting my engagement with the history of her characters, their relationships, thoughts and feelings, reminding me of each and every nuance that made me fall so deep in love with the protagonists and their enchanting story.

The intelligent writing, told in the first person narrative and from the alternating perspective of the hero and heroine, is a rich tapestry littered with imagery evoking a vivid quality and lyrical feel to the prose, a prose that's layered with the theme of music. Music is Rhyson's addiction, his distraction and his tonic; he's a famous, musical genius. For Kai music is her dream and something, for one reason or another, she's waited a lifetime for and so deserves her chance to shine.

As the story layers are peeled away we see the beautiful development of the characters, in terms of the way they deal with situations and each other. They experience realization, understanding and look for ways to overcome all the obstacles in their path, helping each other in their individual growth, exploring their respective histories to garner understanding making everything all the more poignant.

I love the light humour derived from their banter and personalities which perfectly juxtaposes against the moments where the sentiment in the prose took my breath away. It's truly exquisite the manner in which Kai and Rhyson have become tangible with the ability to affect my senses so deeply. It’s a facet that all romance readers search for... the FEELS and the EPIC kind of read that this story provides.

I simply have to convey the erotic loveliness of this story. The writing is rich in thought and emotion and when wrapped up in passionate, sensual, erotically charged scenes the exquisite nature of the story is further enhanced. This teamed with the picture perfect imagery Kennedy Ryan sprinkles all the way through the pages of her writing; make these scenes even more potent.

The additional cast of characters all play a role in the canvas of the story, each adding a layer crucial to either plot or tone, and increasing the complexities of emotion within the prose. I especially love Kai's relationship with San. And Bristol, she's the character I would LOVE to read about next!

Kennedy Ryan with her Soul Series has provided me with one of my all time favourite reads. I felt these characters all the way down to my soul and highly recommend them to all ROMANCE lovers, especially those who love the addition of music!

5 ***You’re my always*** stars

He is mine and I am his. Our darkest secrets, shared. Our deepest places, reached. We are completely known. Completely loved down to our very souls.

The author has a way with putting a story together. She is able to draw her readers in and not let go until the end and even then leaves us begging for more. The author once again delivered a heartwarming, fun, sexy read that I didn’t want to put down and her great talent most definitely shines through in Down to My Soul.

Contemporary romance doesn't get better than this in my estimation. The writing is refreshing, the love scenes so hot and sizzling, the characters so unforgettable, and no matter what, you end up falling in love with them and their journey.

This second book is angsty, Kai and Rhys are torn apart. I think they both needed to feel what it was like without the other. By agreeing to give their relationship a second chance, their connection becomes even more intimate. Forgiveness is offered, broken hearts are mended, words of love are exchanged, passion is fueled. You can see there is an extremely strong chemistry between them since the beginning and that it’s only going to be stronger and steamer.

Trust involves knowing that a partner has your best interest at heart. Deception can quickly take over a relationship when trusting is missing. Lies and omission of truth become dangerous for Kai and Rhys’ relationship. Will it last? And is their love strong enough to keep them together?

If something is built on a lie, can it still be real?

I loved both Kai and Rhys, there was growth from both of them, intentionally trying out different ways of behaving, seeing solutions that they could bring about. They had depth (even the supporting cast), so many dimensions it was scary. These two worked perfectly together, creating a wonderful couple…And a wonderful love story. The chemistry between the hero and the heroine screams from the pages.

This is an incredible 5 star read. I could not put this book down and finished it in one sitting. I seriously recommend this to you all, it's just impossible not to love it.

This was worse than the first one. Kai has got to be one of the stupidest, most annoying heroines I’ve ever read. Honestly, I still can’t see what Rhyson loves so much about her. She’s a total idiot. She’s always lying and deceiving him, she doesn’t trust him or his judgment yet gets in trouble all the time and stupid Rhyson constantly fixes her messes. It’s beyond annoying. This dragged so much, Kai is TSTL, the drama was ridiculous. Not sure what was the purpose of this second book, and not sure what a third one could be about. I’m honestly question giving Bristol’s books a try because this series was awful.

Book two in the Soul trilogy which at time of posting is available on Kindle Unlimited.

This picks up directly after book one and we quickly get back into the intensity of Kai and Rhyson's relationship.

Ryan writes more than a romance, all her books have such deep and serious issues interwoven within the steam. She is fast becoming a auto buy author for me.

After reading the Grip series by the same author its great to see Bristol and Grip as side characters in this trilogy. I'm really enjoying how both series mesh together.

Five stars.

5+++ "I didn't know there was love like this." Stars

To have the absolute privilege and great fortune of getting beautifully lost in worlds created by Kennedy Ryan is something I greatly cherish. Down to My Soul comes as the much anticipated sequel to the highly rated first book My Soul to Keep and must be read in succession after book one. Book one, having been one of my favorites in 2015, really raised the bar for Ryan's storytelling. As a writer Ryan improves leaps and bounds with every story garnering new romance fans who stick by her side waiting patiently for whatever she has to tell. The picture she paints with Down to My Soul so easily jumps from her pages into the imaginations of romance readers making us fall irrevocably in love with these insightful characters. With this sequel, Ryan once again proves her strong presence in the romance writing world as she knows how to hook, captivate, and satisfy her loyal readers.

The descriptive words and engaging dialogue reel readers in so effortlessly there's no barriers between character and reader. You become easily invested in the beautiful flow of the story as the stakes are raised higher for Rhys and Kai. Down to My Soul starts where book one left us as new conflict arises yet the steady pulse of the passion and love between Rhy and Kai never loses it charm and validity. These two characters who possess real faults, who make honest mistakes in an effort to preserve themselves while hanging on to each other, force you to fall in love with them just as fluidly as the story is written. Through the mire of their faults we see so much growth, honesty, and pure goodness radiating from each of them. Nothing about the road of Rhys and Kai goes easily. Their love is easy but the obstacles they face present quite a challenge. How Kennedy Ryan demonstrates their perseverance, digs deep into the many layers and nuances of each character in the this sequel story is not only satisfying but leaves you breathless and even anxious for more.

These two vibrant characters give me a story I find unforgettable. It's one that resonates fully with me as a devoted romance reader. It's one I've read countless times already and hopelessly fall in love with through each turn of the page. There's something inherently magical about Ryan's writing where you find new nuances and depth to her stories as you read it over again. Discovery of self and relationship with honest terms and hard times realized, this describes Down to My Soul. Kennedy Ryan masterfully depicts a fantastical love so romantic in tone and gorgeously constructed prose you won't be able to stop yourself from feeling implicitly connected to this love story. I can't recommend the works of this author and this Soul series enough. Rhyson and Kai's story is one for ages and a MUST READ for all romance lovers.

5 Stuck in My Soul Stars
 photo Down to My Soul_zpsr9n1tjen.jpg

This is the beautiful conclusion to My Soul to Keep. Kai and Rhyson ended badly in book one. This story is a testament to heart and soul, to learning forgiveness and to growing your spirit with a love that knows no bounds. Rhy is a famous rock star and Kai is an up and coming star whose career is flourishing. But what is missing is Rhy. Kai must navigate her feelings and decide if she can forgive Rhy. The baggage of their pasts is the key to the door opening their future.

Loving someone is not as easy as it sounds. The past meeting up with the present has to learn how to mingle together. Maybe the past isn't a good role model, maybe one has to learn in the moment, maybe one makes mistakes and maybe trust is sometimes lost and must be earned again........there are so many things to navigate when loving one with all your soul and learning that love is a gift that must be treasured.

Kai and Rhy have ups and downs in their quest to be a couple. But through their quest, love is always at the corner stone. A deep and heart wrenching love that reaches to their very souls. But no one is perfect, mistakes are made and through their love, they learn that forgiveness is a gift one gives to the one they love as Kai and Rhy grow and flourish in becoming one.

I loved this story. Kai and Rhy both deal with their pasts and they both deal with their mistakes. The magical gift of this story is that the author writes the beauty of passionate love with visual imagery that sparks emotions of love, laughter, sadness and happiness. Both Kai and Rhy grow individually and grow as a couple. Their love, their passion and their connection was written with exquisite heart and soul.

I'm such a slut for quality groveling. wring this man out to nothing, Kai!! damn this series is exposing all my toxic relationship traits. these two fight non-stop why is it working for me?
"The hell we aren't together. Even when we're apart, we're together."
I am such a hypocrite bc the first half of this Kai's in her pocket going in on Rhys for his control issues and I was lapping it up like

description

and then the last 20% it gets turned around on her bc she was stupidly keeping a secret from him she should've fessed up to a whole ass book ago and thats when I started getting real nervous and quiet like

my hypocritical ass when it was time to keep that same energy I had for Rhys groveling only now it's Kai's turn:

I just finished reading Down To My Soul and my heart is bursting with love and admiration for Kennedy Ryan. Wow! She's just a phenomenal storyteller and her writing is simply flawless. I love how she uses and plays with words. It seems so effortless when it's anything but that. It makes her writing more interesting and it captures me immediately.

Down To My Soul picks up right where My Soul To Keep ended and it does with one hell of a bang. I was drawn back in instantly.
I didn't think it was possible to fall more in love with two characters but that's what happened to me. I loved Kai and Rhyson and it didn't matter which POV I was reading. I just wanted to peel more layers of and get under their skin to find out what made them tick. Thankfully Kennedy Ryan revealed so many new sides to Kai and Rhyson that saturated every need in me.

There were so many important and beautiful moments in this book just like My Soul To Keep. I don't want to give anything away except say, that I could feel their love pouring off from the pages. How Kennedy Ryan wrote their love and made it clear from their actions were phenomenal. It was so Kai and Rhyson and it made me believe/have faith in their love even more. They truly were each other's constants. Soulmates.
I have to say the respect Rhyson has for Kai's Auntie Ruthie was the last drop for me. I thoroughly understand why Kai fell head over heels in love with that man. So sexy and yet funny. Just Rhyson!
Kai was such a strong woman and didn't let anything or anyone compromise her beliefs or her goals. I respect that!
I enjoyed the look back at both their pasts and their struggles with their parents. Some things we can't out run and are a part of who we are. But how Kai and Rhyson look at that as an opportunity to learn and grow from that was admirable.

Kennedy Ryan is truly a skilled and talented writer and storyteller. Her wordplay is interesting and unique. When I read I look forward to her next word in a sentence. I'm entertained and invested in her stories. But most of all - she makes me feel. I couldn't ask for more.
Simply fan-f***ing-tastic.

I can't even review this. How do I review this? I've come across books like these before. Books that are overwhelmingly romantic, the pages full of emotion and chemistry that is dazzling and electric. Books like My Soul to Keep and Down to My Soul give me everything that I love and hope to find when I read romance books. They're pret-ty much *why* I read romance - I love love, and mostly I love reading about people falling in love and fighting for that love. These books are both of those things. They're about a soul deep connection between two people who, despite all the bullshit baggage from their past they carry on into the future or the self preservation tactics they use in the present, they're just meant to be. They're meant to love and to heal each other. Meant to fight for each other and fight for their love. And because books like My Soul to Keep and Down to My Soul are so affective, I'm feeling pretty greedy right now. These feelings? They're mine. I don't want to share. I want to hold in my heart forever and keep them safe and happy. Those tears I had? Those are mine too.

I've heard of Kennedy Ryan before, of her work with autism awareness, but I've never read her books before. She is lit up like a Christmas tree on my radar now, no doubt. The writing in these stories was absolutely fantastic. Written in a first person, sort of alternating POV, you get to experience the thoughts and behaviors from both Rhyson and Kai first hand but Kennedy masterfully feeds you little bits of them to you at a time. There are lots of chapters within each installment but they're not long and drawn out, which helps keep the story feeling fresh and the pace generous but not excessive. The imagery is vivid and the characterization of the characters, both main and supporting, are convincing, consistent and well voiced.

And they're hella romantic. It's been a minute since I've been introduced to a male lead as intelligent and sincere as Rhys. He is relentless and possessive in all the best ways, and just seems to have this urgency to give all of himself to Kai. His friendship, his talent, his mind, his humor, his body and most of all his love. He proves himself to be patient and understanding and displays a willingness to love and keep the connection he shares with Kai despite even himself.

I thought Kai was just as complex and enchanting as Rhyson. I admired her independent disposition but delighted in the simple ways she became dependent upon Rhys with her love and adoration for him. Slowly she gave herself over to him, allowing all the best parts of their connection to propel her towards living and achieving her dreams and to healing her heart of the devastating losses she's endured.

It's hard to choose which of the two is my favorite. I loved watching Kai and Rhys build a friendship and fall in love with each other in My Soul to Keep. Their movie line battles were adorable and friends to lovers stories are always my favorite. Down to My Soul, however, truly captured the physically passionate and emotionally intense connection Rhys and Kai share. It was heartfelt and emotive; one minute I was smiling and grinning like a fool and the next my heart was racing and tears were threatening to fall. It was damn beautiful, and one I won't soon forget.

You absolutely must read these books. If you are any kind of romance reader, you will fall in love with them.

Dear Kennedy Ryan,

reading this book I got one of those a-ha moments that Oprah often speaks about...
You see this book is as many of your other books or I should say all of your books very raw, heartwarming & emotional..with very realistic characters that make me angry, disappointed, mad, sad, happy, joyful, in love...all the nine yeards! A whole experience! So back to that a- ha moment...I was thinking to" imagine how is writing stories like this"...so I was thinking about you and draining process that writing these at times grueling dialogues must be...what I want to say is THANK YOU! For all the beauty in all our human flaws, you write about...THANK YOU for going there!! You are appreciated for all of it...

I live you...

Down to My Soul (Soul #2) by Kennedy Ryan
5 stars!!!

“Sometimes our best intentions come with our worst decisions.”

I adored the first book in this series and was a little reticent to read this one at first as I had extremely high expectations. My Soul to Keep was my first Kennedy Ryan read and she totally captivated me with her lyrical writing, intense character connection and Kai and Rhyson’s all-consuming story. Well, I needn’t have worried because Kennedy Ryan delivered once again, in spades. This is the continuation of Kai and Rhyson’s story, therefore you need to have read My Soul to Keep first.

Down to My Soul continues where My Soul to Keep finished and once again I was thrust into the lives of Kai and Rhyson, full throttle, with intensity, emotion and once again passion. With fantastic dialogue that keeps the reader thoroughly engaged Kennedy Ryan totally captivates you from the offset and while their lives were never going to run smoothly these two throw their all into trying and at the end of the day that was all I could hope for.

“There’s no happiness without you anymore. This didn’t have to happen.”

Being friends first and foremost really gave a fantastic foundation for Kai and Rhyson and knowing everything about the other has its pluses and negatives. These two can read each other like an open book so when one is hiding from the other, they know.

Rhyson really puts his heart and soul out there in this book and Kennedy Ryan captured this perfectly. Emotionally brutal at times Kennedy Ryan draws you in to his inner turmoil and his fight to keep Kai by his side. His growth throughout was a necessary evil but it was great to watch him finally really trust and give his all to his forever love. He just needed her to open up too and accept it with open arms.

“Every wall I’d ever raised, every defense I had, you got past them all…You went deeper than anyone ever had. You peeled away every layer of skin, sunk through the flesh, and I felt you right next to my bones. For the first time in my life I felt fully…known.”

The one thing I have loved about Kai and Rhyson’s relationship from the offset is its “realness.” They were two characters that had their issues, but they knew they were flawed and try desperately to overcome their faults. They want to be better for the other while still keeping their own identities. Kai was just breaking out into the music world and was desperate to make it on her own without the constant nametag of being Rhyson’s girlfriend. Rhyson wanted to navigate Kai through the pit-falls of the music industry and while he only had her best interests at heart it was hard for Kai to accept as being anything other than Rhyson being overbearing and interfering.

“She blurs everything. Erases every line I’ve drawn in the sand. Forces me to rethink the boundaries of right, wrong, acceptable, never would, and couldn’t ever. She’s my absolute.”

We still have the suspense and intrigue with Kai’s mysterious texts and my heart was in my mouth so many times just wishing that she would share the burden. The be all and end all for Kai was to protect Rhyson at all costs, even if it meant her own sanity was at stake. I loved the way Kennedy Ryan explored the behind the scenes of the music industry and all the pressures and sharks that it encompasses. As a person looking in you think that their lives are glamourous but sometimes fail to realise the hard work that goes into it, it was eye opening at times, the constant invasion of privacy and navigating your way through agents and companies that just want their pound of flesh no matter the consequences.

“She promised me that you would make mistakes, and that the real test would be to love you through them. It’s a test you already passed when you loved me through mine.”

But most of all this was a love story, a love story that has had me captivated from the first word of the first book and has kept me engrossed to the very end of the second. A love story that Kennedy Ryan penned perfectly and one that you cannot help but become emotionally invested. A love story that would stand the test of time and delivers all the bumps and curveballs with stark reality and intense emotion. A road that was far from straight but with every twist and turn a lesson was learned and a remedy found. This was a journey for both characters but one that had a pot of gold at the end, a pot that had all the riches that these two deserved and the only one they needed…each other.

“He is mine and I am his. Our darkest secrets, shared. Our deepest places, reached. We are completely known. Completely loved down to our very souls.”

It's been a while since I've read book one but I got totally sucked into DOWN TO MY SOUL, in a way I didn't expect. I found that there was character growth in both Rhyson and Kai. I loved where the storyline went and it moved me away from expectations of two musical stars. Totally absorbing on words.

I enjoyed this read very much. It's not a typical rock star love story. It has a lot of emotions running wild between two people who are not likely to fall in love but did. This love between them is not a love that is taken for granted. I liked Kai's character because she is real. A real southern baptist girl who lives by the morals and religion she loves. I cried for her during the hardest parts of the story and laughed when the banter among friends was hilarious. I hope the Author continues this series with Bristols story or Sans. I highly recommend this series to people who are suckers for HEA. Which I am.

I can't with characters allegedly in love who don't trust the reactions of their 'lover'. No more. I'm taking a star off every time I read this stupid scenario from now on. I don't know, but keeping destructive secrets from your significant lover who is attached to your soul or whatever, because you don't trust them to react the way you want is stupid, and I feel like it makes me stupid reading it. And I feel like girls and women will start thinking this is normal and acceptable behavior because it is LITERALLY IN EVERY BOOK THESE DAYS. Whyyyyyyyyyyy?!

Not an ocean, not forever
Nothing wide or deep

My Soul is yours to keep

Note to self: If the series is already completed then read all the books successively so you have all the details fresh in mind!

Spoiler warning!

I live Kai Anne Pearson and Rhyson Grey so so much. It's a beautiful story and no one writes like Kennedy Ryan. No one! Rhyson is the definition of being whipped for his girl. There is nothing he would not do for Kai.

It took me a little bit to get into this book again, but once I was there, the story just flowed. Down to my soul picks up where My Soul to keep left off. Kai is on tour with Luke. She and Rhyson are on a 'break', she more or less ignores his calls and text after he destroyed her trust in him. One tour she's getting blackmailed with a sex-tape of her and Drex. Her blackmailer demands that she's not getting back together with Rhyson or else he/she will release the sextape.

From the moment I knew of the existence of the sex tape, I just knew it would be the big conflict for Rhys and Kai. She should have been honest with Rhyson from the start and told him about the tape and the blackmail. That's where half the star is deducted. I didn't like that Kai kept that secret for so long while Rhyson was honest with her from the time they got back together. While I understand where her insecurity come from (her father left them, Rhyson being super jealous and angry when it came out that she and Drex slept together), she had so many chances to tell him about it and she never did. But I'm really glad that Rhyson found out from herself and not from the media. That would have been some shitstorm.

What else do I want to say about this book: ahh that every male in this book except Rhyson, Marlon, Gradys and Luke is absolutely trash. Yes, I'm talking about Drex and Malcom and Kai's father. Maybe it's a bit harsh to put Kai's father in the same category with the two other snakes, but I find it really hard to forgive him after he left his family to build a new life with his church secretary. Maybe in the distant future, he may redeem himself, but the other two could never. I really hope Rhyson stands by his promise to make their life hell!

My two favourite Kai x Rhyson scenes were the one were they both were disguised with their moustaches (lol) at the beach festival and the other one is the epilogue!! Kennedy Ryan proved once more that she is the queen of epilogues!!!

Let's go Refrain !

I am so emotionally invested with this couple. Kennedy gets me SO INVESTED in her couples every single time! This dealt a lot with jealousy and dishonesty which are not my favorite plot points but the emotion and love between these two made up for a lot of that.

An emotional, breathtaking, and beautiful ending to Kai and Rhyson's story, Down To My Soul was everything I hoped it would be and more!
This is a book I've been eagerly anticipating and you know how that goes - when it pops on your Kindle, you have a niggle of worry that it won't meet your expectations. Well, my friends, it did. It surpassed them, as a matter of fact.
The characters are so developed, the plot so realistic, the words painted so beautifully that you feel like you are a part of this story. I read the last few chapters so, so slowly because I didn't want it to end.
5 LIVING stars for a story that touched me so deeply, all the way down to my soul.

****Audiobook***

I enjoyed it. The characters stay very much the same, but I did love the romance of them finding out what real love is for themselves. And, of course, Kennedy has the best romantic one-liners

"No matter what happens, my heart and my soul, I give them to you. They’re yours to keep.

Down To My Soul is one of those stories that is just difficult to review. Simply because I don't think there are enough words to properly convey my feelings for this book. Simply put, I freaking " LIVE" Rhys and Kai.

No book should give you butterflies or keep a smile on your face while you're reading it. No book should pull you in so effortlessly that you can't wait to devour it but you still want to savor every minute of it because you just do not want it to end. Certainly, no book should be so palpable with emotions, so romantic, sexy, and yet frustratingly real that you can't help but fall in love with the characters and the writing.

"Our love— an ultrasonic boom, out of frequency for everyone but the two of us."

Kennedy Ryan nailed this story. With how things ended in My Soul To Keep , I knew there were quite a few issues that Rhys and Kai had to work on within themselves and with each other. Rhyson was the same strong, stubborn, and yet loving person he always was but his character grew in so many ways during this story. I admired Kai's resilience, her independence, and even though her stubbornness frustrated me at times, she allowed herself to show more vulnerablity with Rhys. I honestly loved how their characters developed. They changed, not necessarily for each other, but to be able to love each other completely, flaws and all.

Their romance was a give and take, tense moments, and arguments, but it was pure love and intensity. I adored their friendship and banter too. I was completely invested in the journey of it all. Kennedy wrote this story with such passion and grace. This was the kind of love story that easily had me falling back in love with these characters. I loved that the angst and drama did not hinder the story but only propelled forward. Take note: this is how you write new adult.

I think this series ended perfectly but I admit I am a greedy reader. I want to be able to see what's in their future, I just want more of them. I definitely recommend this series. This was a such an amazing book and I'm excited to read more from Kennedy Ryan.

That's it—Rhyson Gray just made me fall deeper for him ten times infinity and more in this book. He showed a side of him that wouldn't dare fail to slay you and make you putty in his hands. He just about proved to the entire universe how powerfully intense and bone deep his love for Kai is. His growth in life and in love in this book is so prominent that even I feel so proud of him. Kai Pearson was a bit shakier in the beginning, what with that whole blackmail thing hanging on her head, plus her newly rising career as an artist. She just struggled to balance and shuffle everything. I felt so bad for her, it was tiring her more and weighing her down. I may have not agreed with some of the choices she made, but I completely understood why she felt the need to do them. And the deeper reasons for her actions will surely tug on your heartstrings.

I was certainly entranced with how strong Rhys and Kai's love for one another is. I was so impressed by how Kai shouldered and kept to herself something so heavy, something so huge just to protect Rhyson and his heart. It was always him she put first and thought about. In turn, I was so fascinated by how much Rhyson's love is for Kai that he was able to handle a threat to their relationship so well. Needless to say, their love, their passion for each other was so palpable that even I could taste it, see it, feel it. Their story came full circle and it was so beautiful to witness. They bloomed and grew together, learning from both their mistakes, making their bond stronger and more unbreakable than ever. They certainly took all that was thrown their way in stride and I couldn't be any happier for them both. Everything that happened made me swoon and cheer for them the entire time. And the anticipation was well worth every second to endure.

Kennedy Ryan was able to convey how much love is not completely enough—that it also takes full trust and faith—for a relationship to work. She showed how it's both in the failures and success that we learn and become stronger and even wiser.

Rhyson Gray and Kai Pearson's story is just so inspiringly wonderful. You have to give it a chance and let it take you to a journey that's just so realistic, it'll stay in your heart and mind, you'll feel it deep in your soul for such a long time.

I live Kaison.

I need more!!!!! I loved this sequel. You get so attached to these characters and what is going on that you just want to reach through your Kindle and scream and tell them they are making the wrong decision! Rhys has definitely made it into my list of top book boyfriends - his character and his personality was to die for and you can't help but fall in love with him. What I really like most I guess about Kai and Rhys' relationship, despite all the drama and secrets that came along with the two (let's just ignore that for the sake of this comment) how well they communicate with each other. I know you're probably wondering why I would say that after saying the drama and secrets that come between the couple, but despite all that, their interactions is what really drew me. Yes, they had secrets and weren't always honest. But the way they communicated with each other is different from alot of books I read (maybe I just didn't pay much attention as I did in this one). But I truly felt they communicate fairly well. I'm praying there's a 3rd book- that just being me. It does wrap up nicely, but being the absolute hardcore romance addict I am, I always want more to a couples' story. Maybe even like a novella or something.... ;)

Overall, I loved these 2 books and I will have full length reviews of both books very soon on my blog if your curious to see more thoughts as well as teasers I make. :)
